My niece Izabelle Yvonne was born at 7:47 this morning. She weighs 7 lbs and 14 oz and is 21.5 inches long. She's absolutely stunningly beautiful and hardly looks at all like Winston Churchill.

There's a debate raging over whether she's Izzy or Belle. I invite you to cast your vote in the comments and I shall report to the parents.

I'm going to vote for Izzy because my sister's got Bella on her short list of names for my niece, due probably sometime this week, and that's a trend I'd like to discourage.

Besides, Izzy sounds spunkier than Belle and I am of the opinion that the world needs more spunky little girls.

Having grown up with a name that was easy to rhyme on the playground, I too cast my vote for Izzy. Yes, it still rhymes with things, but better things than Belle.

Izzy, though some people may have a problem with it being associated with that character from Grey's Anatomy? idk.

Belle is great, but not Bella because then it's from Twilight. Belle is that great heroine from Beauty and the Beast.
